Medical equipment

British Red Cross volunteers provide short-term loans of medical equipment, such as wheelchairs, for people with a disability or illness.

The main types of equipment on offer are:

• Wheelchairs (transit and self propelling)
• Commodes, raised toilet surrounds and urinals
• Bed cradles and back rests (in most depots)
• Walking frames (in most depots)
