Nice neighbours count for Britons

Nearly two-thirds (65%) of the UK population rate nice neighbours and community spirit over proximity to good schools, shops and transport links as the most important factor when buying a new house, according to YouGov Plc research released today (Wednesday 31 January).
Somalia: Red Cross steps up support as fighting continues

With the number of victims of the fighting in Somalia growing, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has stepped up its support for various medical facilities in central and southern Somalia, 23 clinics run by the Somali Red Crescent Society and three hospitals in Mogadishu.
