Konnie Huq

From interviewing Tony Blair to learning to scuba dive, there were many highlights for TV presenter Konnie Huq during her ten years with the BBC children's programme Blue Peter.Konnie Huq, TV presenter

Her Red Cross highlights include a trip to Angola to profile our international tracing and message service there and fronting a number of campaigns involving young people, including the Toyota Don’t be a Bystander road safety campaign teaching life-saving first aid skills and Dance for Life.

Konnie says: "During one of the Angola trips, the Beslan massacre happened in Russia. I was with the Red Cross in Africa, watching the live coverage on television, and saw that the only charity allowed access in Beslan was the Red Cross. It made me feel really proud to be involved with them."
