Help us be prepared

The Red Cross doesn’t only respond to disasters. It also prepares for them. We have learned from experience that being prepared can play a major role in saving lives, protecting vital economic assets and safeguarding the livelihoods of vulnerable people.
We prepare for disasters in many ways, from giving local people the skills, knowledge and resources to respond to an emergency to making sure that vital relief items, such as food, blankets and cooking sets, are in place and easily accessible in disaster-prone areas.Boys who were caught up on the India floods 1 © BRCS

Become a Disaster Fund donor

Help us to be prepared by becoming a Disaster Fund donor and know that in any one year you and your colleagues will have helped the Red Cross respond to a wide range of emergencies around the world.

All corporate Disaster Fund donors receive a yearly report on how the Fund has been used to care for people in crisis.
