Joint War Organisation flag day poster

Joint War Organisation fundraising poster, 1939-1945

During the Second World War the British Red Cross and the Order of St John once again joined together to fundraise. Flag days were held twice yearly in June and October during the war.

Today the Red Cross has an annual fundraising Appeal Week in May.
