Well done Helen. You seemed a determined young lady when l met you for the first time in Annecy and China could not have met such a committed wonderful person like yourself. I am sure the time and effort you have put into this will bare grand results, once again well done, take care. Mike

The Red Cross Society of China and its volunteers have been working tirelessly to help people affected by the earthquake. Without the volunteers this operation would not have been able to help so many people recovery from this terrible disaster....

Many thanks for writing this blog. It is really great to hear first hand about people making a difference, and that the chinese people are actually getting the help they need. Like you, I am a vegetarian, so would find it difficult to eat chicken feet!! Thanks and good luck to the Red Cross.

To be simply honest, I think the work volunteers and experienced, qualified and dedicated teams working for the varieties of charities and relief organisations is tremendous. It has without doubt a striking impact on hundreds of thousands of individuals and the help and support mainly provided by the teams working vigorously over in China is entirely admirable and the public donations, commitment and enthusiasm into this horrific crisis. The support give, however, is evermore demading and there shall be increasing requests and futher publicised voices calling out for aid. The work is effective and there can still be plenty more to achieve even greater and proficient results to the hundreds and hundreds of survivors. Of course, the aftermath reparations are devastating and more work will be required for years to come in a successful attempt to rebuild people's lives whilst redeveloping their homes. Good luck!

Your blog was really interesting and will be great to read out at a Thank-you lunch we are having in Glasgow for 70 young volunteers who have helped raise over £30,000 for the appeal. Will be good to tell them what is happening and the difference their money has made.
