Contacting family in Georgia

Tens of thousands of civilians have fled South Ossetia and other regions of Georgia. Telephone networks are functioning and many families have been able to maintain contact with each other despite the displacement.A woman holding her baby cries at her damaged home 1 © REUTERS / David Mdzinarishvili / Courtesy www.alertnet.org

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is able to access the affected areas and the Red Cross can work on tracing missing loved ones.

If you are unable to contact family members in the affected areas, please contact our international tracing and message services on 0845 053 2004.
