What is Will Aid?

Will Aid is a partnership between nine UK charities, including the British Red Cross, and over 1,000 solicitors’ firms nationwide.

The campaign puts you in touch with participating solicitors in your area who will draw up a basic will free of charge during November. In return for giving their time and legal expertise for free, the solicitors hope you will donate the fee they would normally charge to the Will Aid group of charities.

The suggested donation level is £75 for a single will, £110 for a pair of matching or ‘mirror’ wills, or £40 for a codicil to an existing will.

High demand for this service means some solicitors may soon be booked out, so we recommend arranging your November appointment as soon as possible.

How will your donation help the British Red Cross?

Donations raised through Will Aid will help to fund our life-saving services in the UK and around the world. You may also wish to consider including a gift to the British Red Cross in your will. Whether large or small, a legacy gift is a wonderful way that you can help to ensure that we will be there, years from now, to care for people in crisis.
