The Mirror of Time, which opened at London’s O2 bubble on 24 October 2008, is the latest anatomical exhibition by Dr von Hagens. It explores the complexity and vulnerability of the human body from the spark of conception right through to old age.
Discounts for teachers
Teachers can attend a free preview of the exhibition on 12 November from 4.30pm-6pm. Register for the preview.
The Red Cross has a specially designed kit so educators can teach life-saving first aid skills to young people. The Life. Live it. first aid kit can even be used by teachers with no previous first aid experience.
Educators visiting the Body Worlds exhibition can pick up a voucher for 25 per cent off the Life. Live it. first aid kit (regularly priced £120).
First aid training for schools
From December, the Red Cross will have youth peer educators at Body Worlds to lead hands-on demonstrations of first aid skills for young people. They will also talk to students about risky behaviour that could lead to accidents and how to deal with different accident scenarios. Please check this page again in December for more information.
Our peer educators can give students a great introduction to life-saving first aid skills, which can help them keep safe, stay healthy and make a contribution to their communities as active citizens.
A school trip to Body Worlds gets students thinking about how the human body functions. The Red Cross will get them thinking about how to keep it working in an emergency.
