The British Red Cross is auctioning one of their blankets, which has been signed by some of the top TV broadcasters covering the Royal Wedding.

The Red Cross blanket has been signed by famous names from the world of television, including Sharon Osbourne, Fearne Cotton, Phillip Schofield and Jennie Bond.

British Red Cross volunteer Paul Soffe, who was working as a first aid volunteer at the Royal Wedding media village, collected autographs from TV presenters and correspondents covering the event. The blanket will be auctioned on Ebay to raise funds for Red Cross Week, the charity’s annual fundraising drive to support their work in the UK and all over the world.

Paul Soffe, British Red Cross volunteer, said:
“We were at the media village to provide round-the-clock first aid coverage for the journalists and media crews covering the wedding. It was great to have all these famous faces dropping into our first aid post to show their support. Thanks to them, we will be able to auction this blanket to help raise funds for the Red Cross. It’s certainly a bit more unique than a Royal Wedding mug!”

The celebrities who have signed the British Red Cross blanket include:
Sharon Osbourne, Fearne Cotton, Philip Schofield, Ben Fogle, Fiona Bruce, Jennie Bond, Eamonn Holmes, and Sky correspondent Charlotte Hawkins.
