The Red Cross shop on College Street, Sutton is inviting people to come and bag a bargain at a special sale of accessories, bags and jewellery next week from Monday 22 August.

Shop manager, Lesley Cross said: “We are offering people in Sutton the chance to snap up a bargain from our wide selection of high street and designer bags, stylish accessories and glamorous jewellery to complement any outfit or occasion.

Since the road leading to the shop closed we have noticed a drop in sales, so we wanted to tempt people back into the shop so we can help even more people in crisis locally and around the world.”

People across Sutton are invited to come and choose from a wide range of second-hand and vintage clothes, books, multimedia, bric-a-brac and many other items, with all profits going towards the organisation's works both overseas and in the UK.

Notes to editors

The British Red Cross helps people in crisis, whoever and wherever they are. We are part of a global voluntary network, responding to conflicts, natural disasters and individual emergencies.
We enable vulnerable people in the UK and abroad to prepare for and withstand emergencies
in their own communities. And when the crisis is over, we help them to recover and move on
with their lives.
