Will FarrowTo celebrate the Red Cross' centenary in East Anglia, 360 students from The Hewett School and Harford Manor School formed a giant message reading: “Saving lives and changing lives.”
Rob Anthony, associate headteacher at The Hewett School said: “We were very pleased to be able to help the Red Cross launch its centenary celebrations. The Red Cross does a wonderful job around the world and we were glad to be able to lend our support. The day allowed our students to find out more about the work of the Red Cross and raise money for the charity through a non-uniform day as well.”
Inspiring team
Alex Fraser, operations director for East Anglia, said: "It is so inspiring to work with such an enthusiastic and talented team. To see so many wonderful young people coming together to spell out a human message is such a great way to kick off our centenary celebrations. The message and the activity itself show just how far we have come during those 100 years.
"Our reach spans so many generations and we are increasingly supporting and working with those who can so easily find themselves isolated or hidden away in the shadows."
