©InfoPeople in the UK and throughout the world depend on the Red Cross. We are there to help people, whoever and wherever they are, in crises large and small.
Currently, around £1 in every £4 of our donated income comes from gifts in wills. We need that money to ensue our life-saving work continues long into the future. We also need it so that we are ready to act immediately whenever an emergency happens.
If the British Red Cross is to contine helping people in crisis, it is vital that our supporters continue to remember us in this special way.
How your gift could help
A gift in your will can help us save many more lives. Every gift can make a huge difference. For example:
-
£50
could pay for five people to be trained in life-saving first aid here in the UK.
-
£250
could help provide 25 families who have lost everything in a natural disaster like floods or an earthquake with life-saving food parcels for one month.
-
£1,000
could help a British Red Cross volunteer provide a year's support and care at home for someone recovering from illness - helping with shopping, collecting medicines and offering vital companionship.
-
£32,000
could buy one multi-purpose vehicle to transport casualties, evacuees and survivors in an emergency or act as a first aid post at a public event.
