Will Aid

Will Aid logo

This November, you can ask a Will Aid solicitor to write or update your will in return for a voluntary donation to charity.

By making a will and keeping it up to date, you can be sure that the people and causes you care about will be looked after in the future. Will Aid can help you gain peace of mind at the same time as supporting charities like the British Red Cross.

How to take part in three easy steps

  1. Find out which local solicitors are participating, either on the Will Aid website or by calling 0300 0309 558.
  2. Contact your chosen solicitor to make an appointment – be sure to book yours early as appointments get filled quickly.
  3. Enjoy the peace of mind that comes with knowing you have organised your will and helped fund life-saving charity work at the same time.

How your donation will help the British Red Cross

The generous donations made through Will Aid help to fund our life-saving work, both here in the UK and around the world. Many people also choose to include a gift to the British Red Cross in their will at the same time, and we would be extremely grateful if this is something you would consider. Whether large or small, a legacy gift is a wonderful way that you can help to ensure that we will be there, years from now, to care for people in crisis.

How Will Aid works

Will Aid is a special partnership between the legal profession and nine of the UK’s best loved charities, including the British Red Cross. Every November, participating solicitors across the UK waive their fee for writing or updating a basic will. Instead, they invite their clients to make a donation to Will Aid. The money raised goes directly to fund the work of the nine charities.

If you have any questions about the Will Aid scheme, please call 0300 0309 558 or email enquiries@willaid.org.uk for more information.
