Every year the Red Cross helps millions of people both in the UK and abroad. But every day even more people urgently need our help.

By donating to our Red Cross Week appeal you can help us continue our life-saving work.

Here in the UK we help over a million people each year. People like Sean, who was running a half marathon in Glasgow. As he crossed the finish line, his heart stopped.

Thanks to supporters like you, we were there to restart it.

Fortunately, first aid volunteers David Hart and Steven Gay were close by, and were able to use their defibrillator kit to save Sean’s life.

Each year we’re training more and more people in first aid. That means more people are ready to act in an emergency and save the life of someone like Sean.

It’s not just at home where our volunteers are providing a lifeline for people in crisis. In Syria, we are providing aid and assistance to the millions of people whose lives have been torn apart by the conflict.

For vulnerable people in the UK and overseas, the Red Cross is a sign of hope in crisis, meeting both immediate and long-term needs.

By donating to our Red Cross Week appeal you can be sure your money will go directly to providing help where it’s needed most.
