Our haberdashery shops

Sewing thread©InfoDo you repair your clothes or create sew them yourself? Perhaps you like a unique and handcrafted look? Anyone from hobbying crafters to budding dressmakers will love our new range of haberdashery items! Contact your local shop to see if they stock the haberdashery range. Profits support our vital work in the UK and overseas.

What haberdashery items do shops sell?

Our haberdashery range includes everything needed for basic sewing requirements, such as cotton thread, needles, pins and scissors (please note we cannot sell scissors to under 18s. According to local trading standards, some areas operate a Challenge 21 policy – we recommend having ID to show your age).

They also have knitting yarns and needles, donated haberdashery items, and “repair me” garments – clothing that would be ideal to fix using our haberdashery range.

Where does the haberdashery range come from?

Our suppliers are James Brett and Korbond. All products are ethically sourced and audited to high standards.

Can I donate my unwanted haberdashery items?

Please do! All of our charity shops will accept donations of haberdashery items like fabric, curtains, blankets, trimmings, wool, beads and so on. We can’t sell donated knitting needles and scissors that aren’t in their original packaging.

Handcrafts

If you love crafting and fancy helping a good cause, donate your handiwork to your nearest Red Cross shop – we’ll be pleased to sell them under the Handcrafted label to raise money for the Red Cross. We can sell knitted blankets, quilts, cushion covers, clothes, baby and dolls' clothes and ornamental items. To comply with trading standards requirements, we can’t sell items that are intended to be toys.
