Why we don't send volunteers overseas

A smiling girl carries a jug of clean water in HaitiThe international Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement is made up of 188 National Societies, the British Red Cross being one of these. As each National Society has the capacity to draw upon its own body of volunteers, we don’t send volunteers overseas.
