We offer volunteering placements to people aged between 18 and 30 from some European countries outside the UK.
Each year, around 25 international youth volunteers work with the British Red Cross for 12 months. These volunteers are based at projects throughout the UK.
- Supporting refugees, asylum seekers and vulnerable migrants
- Working with young people, teaching them humanitarian education and first aid
- Teaching first aid to vulnerable community groups
- Helping disabled children and young people at school
Who can volunteer in the UK?
We currently have links with the Armenian, Belgian, Finnish, French and German Red Cross National Societies. If you are aged between 18 and 30 and you are a legal resident in one of these countries, you need to apply through your own Red Cross National Society to volunteer in the UK. Please see contact details below.
We only currently work with these national societies so unfortunately we cannot accept individual applications from those based in other countries.
