News - Red Cross provides support during Glastonbury

As tens of thousands of partygoers go to the Glastonbury festival, one intrepid Red Cross volunteer team is on standby to deal with any emergencies or injuries that may arise.

What we do

Our fully trained volunteers are ready to help at any occasion across the UK, from a community event to stadium-sized rock concert.

Health and safety planning

Planning an event? Hopefully you'll already be making plans to provide suitable medical cover – and that’s where we come in.

About the service

Our skilled members, trained in life-saving techniques, successfully treat more than 20,000 people a year – many with serious injuries.

Volunteer for us

We can equip you with the first aid skills to offer practical, even life-saving, help at public events – and wherever else it is needed.
