To help stem the worsening food crisis across west Africa, the British Red Cross has launched its West Africa Food Crisis Appeal.
A major food shortage affected almost eight million people in west Africa. We helped with the logistics of delivering food aid.
We launched an appeal in 2006 to help people across Africa survive when drought and inflated prices left them without enough food.
