Who is it for?
The kit has been designed for schools and youth organisations working with young people aged 11-16. It is also flexible enough to be adapted for other age groups and audiences.
The kit has been specially designed so that teachers and other educators with no previous knowledge in the subject can deliver first aid education.
What is it?
The kit consists of a CD-ROM packed with ten flexible lesson plans (30 -90 minutes), powerpoint presentations, video and audio clips, worksheets and a fun interactive quiz and support materials – perfect for interactive whiteboards.
Educators can deliver first aid theory only or include practical work as the complete kit comes in a large holdall bag containing a CPR practice manikin, 30 triangular bandages, 30 dressings and a set of seven posters.
Designed as a self-supporting resource, teachers and youth leaders can rely completely on the lessons provided. Alternatively, they can design their own lessons from the activities supplied or use it to complement the services offered by the Red Cross trainers operating in their area, who can deliver and support practical skills training for schools.
