We teach first aid and life-saving skills to the general public and to employees in both the public and private sectors.
Our courses are hands-on and promote improving health and safety at home and in the workplace. They are formally assessed and participants receive a certificate of completion.
Basic first aid
This seven-hour course will give you a basic understanding of emergency care. Topics include:
- treating major and minor injuries
- helping conscious and unconscious people
- performing cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on adults.
Practical first aid
This 14-hour course teaches you the skills you’d need to respond to common first aid situations. Topics include those covered in the basic first aid course, as well as:
- performing CPR on infants
- helping people with common illnesses and conditions.
This 24-hour course is the most comprehensive we offer the public. It covers a wide range of skills and knowledge necessary to deal with major and minor emergencies experienced by adults and infants. It covers the topics from practical first aid in more depth.
Learn to use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in cardiac emergencies. You must have successfully completed the standard certificate to be eligible for this course.
