Darfur Crisis Appeal

As many as 4.5 million people are suffering as a result of vicious internal conflicts across Darfur, Chad and the Central African Republic. The British Red Cross has been working in Darfur since 2004 providing food, water and healthcare to the most vulnerable.

Kitchen kits

£20 could provide two families with food parcels for one month

Medicine in a Displaced Persons camp

£50 could help buy a medical kit equipped to treat 1,000 patients

A child eating “Plumpy Nut” at the healthcare clinic in Gereida, a remote town in Southern Darfur. It is a specially formulated food bar made from peanuts, developed to treat malnutrition.

£100 could help treat 30 severely malnourished children staying in a therapeutic feeding centre for one week
