Delegates will need experience in international and cross-cultural settings. Language skills are highly beneficial. Finally, they have to be physically and psychologically fit to cope with extreme and resource-poor environments.
Delegates work directly on British Red Cross programmes or are seconded to work for the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) or the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).

What are the terms and conditions?
Contracts range from one month to more than two years, depending on the role. Delegate positions can also be accompanied by family depending on the position, country and length of contract.
Please only apply to those positions where you can clearly demonstrate you meet the required qualifications, experience and skills.
What if I'm not a British resident or UK national?
For positions on British Red Cross programmes, we will consider suitable candidates of any nationality. For positions with the Federation or ICRC, we usually put forward British nationals or residents as candidates of other nationalities should apply through their own National Society for these roles, or directly to the ICRC or Federation through their websites.
