Are you interested in using your skills, knowledge and experience within international emergency response and willing to work anywhere, in challenging circumstances, at a moment's notice when disaster strikes?

The British Red Cross holds two Emergency Response Unit (ERU) teams – Mass Sanitation Module (MSM) 20 and Logistics which is made up of specialised personnel and equipment to provide immediate support overseas when buildings, roads and water facilities are destroyed or overwhelmed. More information about the Emergency Response Teams can be found on the Federation Website:

We recruit logisticians, sanitation engineers and hygiene promotion specialists on a periodic basis to join the BRC emergency response units. Our roster of vetted and trained personnel are ready to be deployed anywhere in response to international emergencies (natural disasters, conflict or smaller-scale emergencies).

You must be willing to be on call for a minimum of one month per year and travel at short notice (24 - 48 hours) to relief operations during this on call period. Roster members must be within 6 hours travel time of London whilst 'on call' and have the required visa to enter to the UK. Candidates who are already in employment with other organisations but who can be released at short notice are welcome to apply.
