The British Red Cross has unveiled its new Presidential Team in the Cheshire area.
The President of the British Red Cross in Cheshire Dennis Dunn MBE has today (9 November) revealed the appointment of Dame Patricia Bacon DBE and Anne Boyd as Vice-Presidents.
Dame Patricia Bacon DBE is the former Principal of St Helens College, and spent over 30 years working in further education. She is also a non-executive Director and Deputy Chair of the Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. She was awarded a DBE for services to local and national education in the 2011 New Year’s Honours list.
Anne has worked for over 20 years in the public, private and voluntary sectors, including in positions within Sport England and in local government. She is the Chief Executive of Active Cheshire, a strategic commissioner of sport and physical activity in the Cheshire & Warrington sub-region.
Commenting on the appointments, Dennis said:
“I am delighted to be joined by Pat and Anne as we play our part in promoting the British Red Cross humanitarian mission, both here in Cheshire and internationally.
“We’re looking forward to working together, alongside our magnificent Red Cross family of volunteers.”
