Jump 4 Life – The Ultimate Adrenaline Experience

The British Red Cross is looking for people with bags of nerve and a passion for fundraising to take part in its annual Jump for Life tandem skydive event.

Tandem skydives can be a great way to celebrate success, team build, or simply have a brilliant and thrilling day out.

Leap out of an aeroplane at over 10,000 feet, freefalling at 120mph before floating serenely over the East Midlands and taking in views of the beautiful landscape. The Red Cross is looking for thrill-seekers from Staffordshire and Warwickshire to experience the ultimate adrenaline rush and raise funds for people in crisis.
The Jump 4 Life tandem skydive takes place at Brackley Airfield, Northamptonshire on 22 April 2012.

British Red Cross community fundraiser Max Newton says: “I did a tandem skydive several years ago and I can promise it is simply the most incredible and exhilarating experience I've ever had. Once you’ve landed you’ll have a massive smile on your face and be desperate to go again, it’s that good. If anyone out there would love to do a jump but their fear of heights is putting them off I can assure them they would absolutely love it. Go for it.”

All you need is a head for heights and a passion for raising money for a good cause. Raise the minimum sponsorship of £395 and jump for free. The money raised enables the Red Cross to continue its fantastic work supporting people in crisis, across the world and around the corner.

Notes to editors

The British Red Cross helps people in crisis, whoever and wherever they are. We are part of a global voluntary network, responding to conflicts, natural disasters and individual emergencies.
We enable vulnerable people in the UK and abroad to prepare for and withstand emergencies in their own communities. And when the crisis is over, we help them to recover and move on with their lives.
