Four celebrated figures of British art and design have put their names to exclusive bags in aid of the British Red Cross.
Entitled 'Signature Bags', they feature reproductions of the signatures of Sir Peter Blake, Rankin, Margaret Calvert and Marion Deuchars.
The limited edition canvas tote bags were made in Liverpool and embroidered in Exeter by Streamline. Streamline creates branded products for some of the country’s best-known organisations.
Each Limited Edition bag costs £50 and a donation of £20 from each purchase will come to the Red Cross to support our work for people in crisis. Just 100 of each of the four designs have been produced.
Streamline’s director Roger Paterson said: “Great British manufacturing has always been about design, quality and philanthropy and we wanted to celebrate all three.
“We’re really pleased to support the Red Cross, and very grateful for the generosity of the four great creative talents who’ve made it possible.”
Bryan Edmondson from SEA, the agency that designed the bags, said: “We wanted to showcase British manufacturing skills and came up with the idea for Signature Bags. Autographs may have gone out of fashion in the age of the selfie, but these bags are pretty special.”
