In addition to her existing function as Director of Strategy, Patricia is now Chief Financial Officer at Telefonica UK. She also sits on the Telefonica Deutschland AG Supervisory Board, and is a Director of Wayra I + D, Telefonica's global network of start-up accelerators.
She was named a Young Global Leader by the WEF in 2014. Before joining Telefonica in 2006, Patricia was with McKinsey & Company in Europe and the US from 1999. She holds an MSc in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Pontificia Comillas-ICAI.
Patricia grew up seeing the Red Cross organise blood drives and first aid training, as well as offering primary care in her native Spain. Her mother also introduced her to its volunteering programme in children’s hospitals. Because of this she is a strong supporter of the Red Cross’ work at home as well as in conflict and natural disaster areas.
Patricia is married and a mother to three young children.
Margaret Johnson, OBE

Margaret was born in Spain and spent much of her childhood there and in Mexico, before moving to Scotland where she attended Edinburgh University.
Margaret joined the creative agency, Leagas Delaney, in 1995 as head of planning, and was promoted to group planning director in 1997 - responsible for research and strategy across all its offices. In 2002, Margaret became the agency’s group managing director and in 2007, she became group CEO. Over the last few years Margaret has worked on many accounts including; InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Patek Philippe and Prudential.
Prior to joining the agency, Margaret worked twice on the client side at Unilever and Diageo. In 2006, Margaret was appointed as non-executive director of the Admiral Group, one of the UK’s top car insurance companies. Margaret and her husband Quentin have been married for 14 years.
Lady Angela Lamport
Tiffany Circle Ambassador and Trustee, British Red Cross
Following a career in the Foreign Office, including overseas postings in the US, Middle East and Italy, Angela worked for various organisations in London and was also a school governor.
She later became a teacher of English as a foreign language, working with Bosnian refugees and a wide range of international students. She joined the Red Cross in 2003 as President for Surrey. She has been a successful fundraiser and organiser of high profile events and has been instrumental in establishing the British Red Cross Tiffany Circle.
She is a member of the Red Cross Psychosocial Support Team which works with the Foreign & Commonwealth Office to support British nationals in crisis overseas, and was deployed recently in Libya. She is due to retire from the board at the end of December 2013.

Pinky Lilani, CBE DL, is a food guru, author, motivational speaker and internationally acclaimed champion for women.
She is the force behind the annual Women of the Future Awards, the Asian Women of Achievement Awards, The Ambassadors programme, The Inspirational Women’s Network, The Women of the Future Summit and the Global Empowerment Award. At the core of all these programmes is the importance of Kindness and collaboration.
She is an associate fellow of the Said Business School, Oxford and Patron of DIL, The Westminster Society and Frank Water.
A member of the board of Global Diversity Practice and on the Court of Brunel University, Pinky makes regular media appearances and is a keynote speaker at international conferences and at educational institutions.
Pinky loves to travel with her wok and cook to demonstrate the importance of passion, creativity and kindness for personal and business success.

Anne and her husband Andrew have supported the British Red Cross for decades, making it their charity of choice for donations to overseas disasters and emergencies.
Their three children growing up and Andrew semi-retiring enabled Anne to give time to the British Red Cross as well. She has been an actively involved member of the British Tiffany Circle from its outset, including being event lead for the International Weekend in 2014. She joined the Tiffany Circle International Council in 2015.
Anne used her Maths degree as a corporate financier in the City for eight years and then dedicated her time to raising a family and doing voluntary work, mainly for the local church. In particular, she has led a weekly service for under-fives since 1999. She organises regular and one-off events for her local area and has hosted numerous fund raising and community events at their home in mid-Essex.
Anne enjoys plays, films, reading and walking holidays.
Kyra Dickinson OBE

Kyra was born and brought up Monte-Carlo. She spent winters in Switzerland and studied in Paris. She speaks 3 languages fluently.
Kyra’s husband Robert is an English lawyer. They live in Northumberland and have a London flat, where they spend part of each week.
Kyra first became involved with the Red Cross at the age of 16, helping out at the Monte-Carlo Red Cross Ball, which continues to be held every August.
Kyra’s Red Cross volunteering has continued. She became Deputy President of the Northumbria Branch in 1992, President from 1994 until 2011 and now Patron. She has been very involved with expanding the Open Garden Scheme, which originally started in Northumberland in 1932, and now is successful fundraiser nationwide.
Kyra was awarded the Badge of Honour for Distinguished Service in 1997 and the OBE in 2002. She is passionate about the Red Cross and wishes to continue to help.
Professor Dr Geeta Nargund

Geeta is the Founder, Medical director and CEO of Create Health Limited. She is a Senior Consultant Gynaecologist and Lead Consultant for Reproductive Medicine at St George’s Hospital NHS Trust, London.
She cares deeply about and has been actively involved in international and UK charities promoting education, women’s health and development, equality and social mobility. She is the Founder and Chief Executive of UK Women’s Health Charity, Create Health Foundation; President of the international scientific society, ISMAAR; Director of The Walking Egg Foundation, a charity based in Belgium to make fertility care accessible globally.
She is a visiting professor at Hasselt University, Belgium; St Marco University Lima and SDM Medical College, India.
Geeta joined the Tiffany Circle to make a positive contribution to projects aimed at improving education, communication, maternal, and child health.
Dr Sindy Newman

Dr Sindy Newman is a physician specialising in medical obesity and aesthetics. She has several practices across the North West of England.
She became British Red Cross president for Lancashire in 2010 and has recently been appointed patron. A mother of three, she decided to get involved with the British Red Cross because of her passion to help people who suffer and the great work the organisation does both overseas and in the UK. Sindy has family connections in Canada.
In addition to organising many British Red Cross events, she raised thousands for the Kim Foundation International for child victims of war and held a ball at the iconic Blackpool Tower Ballroom. The special event guest of honour and close friend of Sindy, Kim Phuc, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, was a child victim of the Vietnam War and became known as ‘the Girl in the Picture' when she was burnt in a napalm attack.
Amanda Nicholson DL

Originally from Scotland, Amanda trained in Dublin and became a social worker. After having three novels published, she read English at Oxford and took a post graduate degree in creative writing before becoming a part-time further education tutor.
She has been the sole proprietor of a large farm in Buckinghamshire since 1976 and is starting a grain treatment business. After 32 years as a magistrate, she became High Sheriff of Buckinghamshire before being invited to become British Red Cross branch president.
Amanda is also involved in the welfare of prisoners. She is interested in all aspects of literature and drama, enjoying music and dance. Amanda and her husband John have been married for 43 years and have three adult children.

Soraya was born in Bujumbura, Burundi before moving to Vancouver, Canada at the age of five. She completed her undergraduate degree in Vancouver before moving to Barcelona to complete her MBA.
Since 2007, Soraya has been working in London in Real Estate specialising in Hospitality asset management.
She has been involved in projects in the non-profit sector since youth and in Vancouver was involved with both Vancouver General Hospital and Lions Gate Hospital working in fundraising and event management. Since moving to London, Soraya has been working with the Aga Khan Foundation and in 2011 co-chaired the Partnership Walk and Run, an event that raised £500k enough to build its target 50 seismic safe homes in Northern Pakistan, a region affected by heavy landslides. In 2011, she became a trustee on FOCUS Humanitarian Assistance, an organization that provides emergency disaster relief to countries, most recently in Syria.
Soraya is passionate about supporting projects around the world and is delighted to support the British Red Cross in the UK as her charity of choice. She visits East Africa regularly as in 2014, she became a Trustee of Marafiki.
Quenelda Avery was President of British Red Cross Sussex from 2005-2011 and lives in Sussex and London. With other Tiffany Circle Lifetime members, she visited the Red Cross HIV/TB project in KwaZulu-Natal. She also served on the Promotions Committee of the successful 2015 British Red Cross Dance Power event.
Over the last 25 years, Quenelda has been deeply involved in local charities and organisations, including serving as a Board member at HMP Lewes and as a Trustee of Sussex Emmaus charity for the homeless. She is the founder of the East Sussex Women of the Year Lunch, which celebrates women’s achievements and supports charities connected with women’s issues. She is also a Chapter member of the Order of St John and Sussex Chairman.
Quenelda is an Anthropology graduate and former University College London Union Vice-President. She has lived in Rio de Janeiro and Paris with her husband and family. Quenelda’s son, Tom, is the youngest Briton to have walked to the North and South Poles. He named an 18,000ft mountain in Kyrgyzstan after her, when he was the first to climb it in 2000.
Dame Margaret Barbour
Dame Margaret Barbour was appointed to the Board of Directors of J Barbour & Sons in 1968 following the sudden death of her husband John Barbour.
In 1973 she became Chairman and under her stewardship has led the company through some of the most exciting times in its long history.
In 1988, Dame Margaret founded the Barbour Trust (now called the Barbour Foundation) gifting 20 per cent of the company shares to the Trust. To date, the Foundation has made grants of upwards of £8million mainly to North East charities and towards various cultural projects such as the Sage, Newcastle Theatre Royal and Newcastle University’s Faculty of Medical Sciences.
In October 1999, Dame Margaret set up the Women’s Fund to support organizations delivering benefit and social well-being to women in the local Tyne & Wear and Northumberland communities and in 2001, along with her daughter Helen, she initiated the Nancy Barbour Award in memory of her mother-in-law, to help women play a more active part in their communities.
In February 2013, Dame Margaret celebrated 40 years as Chairman, a testament to her hard work and dedication. Together with her daughter Vice Chairman Helen Barbour, she continues to lead the company into its second century of operations pledging to continue to meet the needs of its customers through growth and new product introductions while also adhering to the standards of quality and service established by John Barbour more than 100 years ago.
As an artist and a qualified teacher, Donna Bompas combines her two passions by running an art school from her studio in Chislehurst, South East London.
She teaches over 120 students, from pre-school age to adults. Her art covers a range of mediums with pottery as her specialism.
Donna is closely involved in Chislehurst’s community life. For many years she has initiated and organised large scale creative community events, including an open air cinema and the multi award winning Chislehurst Big Draw. These are both annual events held on the local Common, and require the assembling and motivating of large teams of volunteers, local organisations and businesses.
Her commitment to the community, in particular to local children, is evident from her position as Beaver Scout Leader, Sunday School teacher, and Primary School Governor, as well as her managing of the local schools’ children’s annual academic and creative projects competition.
Donna is an American, married to an Englishman and they have raised three children now in their twenties. Her father was a corporate fundraiser and a donor to the American Red Cross. Donna and her husband have followed his example by supporting the British Red Cross since their marriage 32 years ago.
Barbara has enjoyed working with the Red Cross locally, nationally, and internationally for the past nine years.
The mission of the Red Cross resonates with her care taker personality and her profession as a Registered Nurse. She was a founding Tiffany Circle member in the U.S. and Great Britain.
Barbara devotes her time to being a wife, mother, grandmother, and volunteering. Her involvements are with the arts, service, and education at home and abroad. She is a Trustee of the American Museum in Britain, a Benefactor to The Duke of Edinburgh's International World Fellowship, and is a Churchill Society member.
Both North Carolina natives, Barbara and her husband, Jack, of 49 years have lived in Tennessee since their corporate gypsy days with Hospital Corporation of America led them to Nashville in 1988. Their son Richard and his wife Sara and their three children also live in Nashville.
Julia Chute co-founded BUGS (Burns Unit Group), a charity and support group for adults and children based at Salisbury Hospital, in 2000 and retired as Chairman in 2014. Julia also took part in the NHS’ national Burns Care Review in 2001 and has been involved in work supporting burns patients in many other ways.
She became a Tiffany Circle member after being introduced to the group by Tiffany Circle Ambassador Angela Lamport, who is a longstanding friend. She has chosen to support the British Red Cross’ programme in Nepal through her Tiffany donation, as she has links with the Kanti Children’s hospital burns patients in Kathmandu. Julia also supports the Ghurka Trust.
Dr Maggie Cochrane
Dr Maggie Cochrane has been a GP in South London for many years. She has a special interest in children’s and women’s health.
Having worked in an area with significant social deprivation, she has experience of working with families in difficulty and vulnerable women, many of whom have come as refugees or asylum seekers.
Maggie is involved in teaching and training healthcare professionals. She is also a firm believer that all people should be trained in first aid, so that they have the confidence to take control and react to an emergency.
Maggie is married to James, who was Chair of the British Red Cross from 2006 to 2012, and so is very aware of the variety and scope of services and support offered by the Red Cross, both in the UK and worldwide. James and Maggie live in south-west London. They have four adult daughters, and five grandchildren.
Denise is a qualified Civil Engineer and was previously Chairman of South Thames Group of Engineering Industries Association as well as Chair of Governors at Stanley High School.
Denise designed and built the Alexander Family Nursing Home for the disabled. She was its Director and former owner and retains involvement with it now she has retired.
Denise’s interests include competitive target shooting for Surrey and England. Denise is a member of: Freeman of the City of London; The Guild of Freemen of the City of London; Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Upholders; City Livery Club; The Incorporation in Freeman of City of Glasgow; Cripplegate Ward Club; The Royal Society of St George; The Royal Society of St George; The Conference du Sabre (Chevalier); International Wine & Food Society; London Branch and Surrey Home Guard Rifle & Pistol Club.
Denise visited Syria on a Guild of Freemen in early 2011.
Denise’s late husband was also an engineer.
Hilary Douglas, CB
Hilary is a British Red Cross Trustee and former Surrey President. Her career in Government began in education policy and legislation, and she then moved into operational management, leadership development and major change projects.
She has held Chief Operating Officer roles on the executive committees of the Department for Education, HM Treasury and the Department for Business.
Hilary is a qualified coach and now works with Praesta Partners, a firm of executive coaches supporting senior leaders across all sectors of the economy. She has co-authored a research report on the issues that senior women bring to coaching.
Hilary and her husband, Rob, met at University, and his corporate career involved the family commuting at various times to the Netherlands, Belgium and Italy. They have two married sons, one in the UK and one in Hong Kong.
Jennifer Fox is the President, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts and President, International for FRHI.
She oversees the luxury brand’s global hotel portfolio in addition to being responsible for operations of the company’s Raffles & Swissôtel brands in all markets outside of North America.
Jennifer joined the company in 2011 and has a strong background in operations, product and service strategy, global brand development, human resources, owner relations and development.
Jennifer has more than 25 years of experience in the luxury, resort and business segments of the hospitality industry. Prior to joining Fairmont, Jennifer spent 10 years at InterContinental Hotels Group, where she was Chief Operating Officer responsible for operations, financial performance, talent management and service delivery for all IHG brands. Jennifer also has extensive experience as a General Manager, having run some of the finest luxury hotels and resorts in the world including the InterContinental Hong Kong, which she rebranded from the Regent and the Orchid at Mauna Lani (now a Fairmont) which she rebranded from Ritz Carlton.
Jennifer has lived and worked in North America, Asia, Europe and Australia during which time she has developed a global network of luxury associated and industry related contacts, including strong connections in the media and owner and investment communities.
Freddie Linnett was born in Ireland and moved to England aged 10. After schooling at convent schools in Leicestershire and training at the local college, she joined the family property company set up by her uncles.
Starting as a personal secretary, Freddie went on to become a director of the company which now builds, develops and retains properties throughout the UK. Having moved away from taking a leading role in the company following her uncles’ deaths, Freddie further developed the charitable trust that she created.
In her role as Trustee, she has been to see the work of the Red Cross and Red Crescent as well as work undertaken by other charities in the developing world
Leyla Marrs is a qualified nurse and special needs school governor. She assisted in setting up the first residential Buddhist meditation centre in Blackpool, is the founder and owner of the Orchard Lodge Care Home and has recently set up the Fountain Clinic.
Leyla lives in Lancashire and is committed to humanitarian work. She is a dedicated supporter of the British Red Cross’ work to help women, children and families in crisis.
Leyla and her nursing home staff held annual summer garden openings to raise funds to benefit the Tiffany Circle and the British Red Cross. She looks forward to continuing her Red Cross philanthropic efforts as she establishes her new business.
Meredeth Moss is the Global Retail Director at Fabergé. She previously worked for Tiffany and Co. in a variety of roles, traveling extensively throughout Europe, Asia, the Middle East and South America to manage all Tiffany fragrance and jewellery trade accounts. Most recently, she was the Flagship Retail Director at Tiffany & Co. Old Bond Street. She obtained a pearl and diamond grading degree at the Gemological Institute of America, in California, and speaks some French and Arabic.
Meredeth was a founding member of the Arizona Tiffany Circle and a board member of the Grand Canyon Chapter of the American Red Cross. She also served two terms as a board member for the Desert Botanical Garden, where she chaired the major fundraising event, Dinner on the Desert. Since moving to the UK she served as a special advisor to the Circle here before becoming a member.
Chief Operating Officer, Investec
Originally from Staffordshire, Gaynor lives in Jersey with her husband Tom and son. At 17 she embarked upon her career as a professional dancer which took her all over the world giving her the opportunity to experience diverse environments and cultures.
She later worked for Newsquest Media and ITV in various roles and more recently qualified and taught English to international students.
Gaynor’s father and grandparents were from Jersey and during the German occupation, between 1941-1945, the Red Cross played a huge role in helping Islanders by delivering life-saving relief. She grew up hearing from family members and other Islanders just how deeply grateful and indebted they were to the Red Cross for delivering urgently needed medical supplies, food parcels and messages to and from anxious relatives.
Mrs Elspeth Straker
Elspeth was recently appointed President of the Northumbria Branch of the British Red Cross. She has been involved for many years with the charity and was Chairman of her local fundraising committee.>
She organised a concert at The Sage, Gateshead.
Elspeth is Canadian and was born in Montreal. She met and married an Englishman who was at university in Canada and moved to Northumberland in 1973. Her husband, Henry, who was a lawyer in Newcastle, died in 2010 after enduring Multiple Sclerosis for 34 years. During their life together, she ran a small business, but when Henry began to deteriorate she had to curtail her activities in order to devote more time to him.
However, she did find time for the Red Cross. Henry and Elspeth always worked as a team for charities specifically related to the disabled. One of the highlights of their life together was a trip to the North Pole in 1990 to meet Sir Ranulph Fiennes, who set a world record for unsupported northerly polar travel. This trip raised a great deal of money for The Calvert Trust which runs holidays for the disabled. Their motto is: "It's not what you can't do, but what you can".
Since her husband's untimely death she is pleased to have been given the opportunity to become more involved with the Red Cross. She has two children and four grandchildren and enjoys skiing, tennis, golf and sings in her local choir.
Karen owns Global Entertainment Inc. and is also a broadcaster and journalist. Prior to this Karen founded a Management Consultancy, providing consultancy and training to the NHS, corporate business and volunteer sectors throughout the UK and abroad.
In 2011 Karen was honoured to be announced Patron Ambassador to Bolton Hospice. 2016 saw her step down from the board of Boot Out Breast Cancer where she raised awareness and funds for breast screening equipment in the UK.
In addition to this Karen works at her farm with fiancé David, who is a professional artist.
Karen is passionate about empowering women and supporting the British Red Cross.
Alisa Swidler campaigns across a host of global humanitarian issues, most recently for off-grid access to food, energy and medicine in Liberia and Syria.
She has on-going partnerships with President Clinton, Prince William of the Czech Republic, Sir Paul McCartney, Sir Richard Branson, President Sirleaf-Johnson, Mayor Boris Johnson and Charlize Theron.
Alisa and Eva Longoria were the Executive Producers of ‘Food Chains’, a documentary on migrant farm workers in Florida, which premiered at The Tribeca Film Festival. She is a Trustee of The Zeitz Foundation, The Last Mile Health Consortium in Liberia and Millennium Promise UK. She is an Advisor to the Czech Royal Family, the I Am Eco Warrior Project, PositiveLuxury.com, the sustainable luxury brands Maiyet, Eden Diodati & Lucy Annabella Organics and the legendary skin care line, Erno Laszlo. Alisa is married to a Portfolio Manager and has five young children. Originally from New York City, she has lived outside of London for the past 12 years.
Jennifer Ploszaj has over 20 years of experience in brand marketing, communications and public relations within the luxury travel and consumer lifestyle industries.
She founded JP Communications in 2011, which provides senior-level brand marketing and communications support to clients. Jennifer has extensive global management experience and a keen understanding of working across complex organisations as well as within highly entrepreneurial environments.
Jennifer has worked with and for some of the world’s most renowned brands, such as One & Only Resorts, ESPA, InterContinental Hotels, Starbucks Coffee Company and Microsoft. In the past, Jennifer has managed partnerships with companies such as TED, National Geographic Traveller, Aston Martin Racing, BBC, CNN and Matthew Williamson.
