H&M has supported us since 2011 and has raised more than £3 million by donating stock to be sold in our charity shops across the UK.
H&M donates end-of-season lines which have not sold in store and slightly damaged garments which would otherwise be thrown out.
H&M’s sustainability manager for UK & Ireland, Catarina Midby said: “H&M are very humbled that our donated clothes, sold in British Red Cross stores across the country, support many people in need. We are delighted that the total has now reached over £3 million and that with our ongoing partnership, we can continue to support all the valuable work of the British Red Cross.”
Paul Thompson, our director of retail said, “A huge thank you to H&M in supporting us during this longstanding relationship that has helped generate over £3 million through our shops across the country. These vital funds will go towards helping people in crisis in the UK and abroad. Through the generosity of H&M, we have been able to provide our customers with an even broader choice of fashion and on-trend items.”
