John Lewis Partnership

The John Lewis Partnership has been supporting the British Red Cross for over three decades. It has donated to numerous emergency appeals and, since 2004, has been a valued supporter of our Disaster Fund.

The Disaster Fund enables us to provide support in the immediate aftermath of a disaster or conflict anywhere in the world. With the John Lewis Partnership’s support, we have been able to provide life-saving relief to millions of people all over the world, supplying food, water, shelter, healthcare and emotional support to individuals and communities.

Not every emergency makes the headlines, but the Disaster Fund ensures that we can respond immediately to emergencies. The Disaster Fund has allowed us to respond to numerous disasters including the Ebola outbreak in West Africa, drought in Zimbabwe and flooding in the UK.

Judith Cave, head of community and partnership trusts, John Lewis Partnership, said:

“The British Red Cross delivers vital relief across a wide range of emergency situations around the world, whether they are high profile news stories or ‘silent disasters’, in each case providing life-saving support and practical assistance to help rebuild communities.

“By contributing to the Disaster Fund, we know we are helping the British Red Cross both to plan with more certainty and to respond more quickly when disaster strikes. We are proud to offer our support.”
