MMC began their partnership with us in June 2014 to support communities in crisis. MMC’s funding supports our emergency response vehicles, equipment and training throughout the UK.
The partnership aims to raise £250,000 entirely through staff fundraising. MMC employees have the opportunity to volunteer in a number of ways.
- learn how to save a life
- transcribe World War One record cards
- help mentor young people as part of humanitarian projects.
MMC staff have raised funds in various creative ways from challenge events to office fundraising. At the beginning of 2015, MMC employees had raised over £100,000.
Throughout 2015, the partnership is also exploring new ways to share expertise across the two organisations and in doing so help communities prepare for, deal with and recover from crisis.
Zara Jeffery, Head of Corporate Social Responsibility, UK, Marsh & McLennan Companies said:
“Working in partnership with the British Red Cross has brought great benefits across our business and group of four operating companies. The bespoke support we have received has been truly collaborative, motivating colleagues and increasing employee engagement.”
