A narrow shaded alley, lined with pots of hostas, skimmias, ferns, grasses and choisyas, leads past a tiny terrace with pots of herbs and lilies. Up steep steps you will find a small garden planted in white, purple and magenta, with Cercidiphyllum japnoica 'Rotfuchs' giving dark colour and height. There are white cosmos and the blackest petunias in pots.
Arches covered in clematis 'Kaiu' and roses open onto another small terrace in front of the garden room. Rosa 'Grace' displays apricot blooms.
