Garden 1 – Combe House has a one-acre garden with many rhododendrons and other interesting trees, shrubs and borders. Garden 2 – Warrescote has the splendid backdrop of the village church and this lovely walled garden wraps round one of the village’s oldest houses, with many period features displaying scented and unusual plants. Garden 3 – Lady Furlong is a pollinator friendly garden in constant development, with magnificent views and an artist’s studio. Garden 4 – Old Court’s garden is hidden and historic with a fine variety of plants set against a small number of mature trees, including a magnolia, a large mimosa and a eucryphia. Garden 5 – Purlands is a garden in the process of restoration and development. In the past three years, the steep slope has been softened and levelled in places, walls and steps built, flowerbeds and a new wild pond created, and vegetable and soft fruit areas installed. Garden 6 – Combe Barn is a small traditional cottage garden with mixed borders of shrubs, perennials, annuals and bulbs. It also has a productive kitchen garden and a greenhouse for more tender plants that are mostly edible. Homemade refreshments served from 1.30 to 4.30pm.
