Newbrough Lodge

These large formal gardens have a walled garden and a large glasshouse, lawns and conservatory. There is also a woodland walk with a pond garden. Dogs must be on leads. Car parking available. Check out the 11th-century pele tower and 14th-century church within the estate.

Directions:

Four miles west of Hexham. Drive through Fourstones and Newbrough. A quarter-of-a-mile out of the village, turn right by the church.

The garden opens jointly with Newbrough Hall, which is a 0.75 mile scenic walk across fields. Entrance to both gardens is £5.
