This unique 15th-century Tudor house is of great architectural interest. Queen Elizabeth I held court here twice. The garden has a partly walled moat, walled garden, ponds and water features. Inside the house the Great Hall has a fine oriel window, a staircase tower on the north side and a fine open timber ceiling, partially exposed, in the south wing. Visit the study where best-selling author Evelyn Anthony researched and wrote her books, as well as the bedroom where Queen Elizabeth I slept.
