Open your garden

Attendees at an open garden amongst lavander plants

During Open Gardens, hundreds of garden owners kindly allow the public to visit their gardens. Thousands of volunteers organise and help out at these events across the UK.

In 2013, Open Gardens raised more than £160,000 to help our work for people in crisis both in the UK and overseas. There were more than 160 garden openings and the scheme received 12,000 visitors.

Enjoy the benefits of your hard work by opening your garden to the appreciative gardening public, and raise money for a worthwhile cause at the same time.

We are looking for gardens of all shapes and sizes, from small cottages to whole villages – size doesn't matter.

We provide volunteers to ensure you receive as much assistance as you need, from organising the opening to assisting with everything on the day, such as collecting donations on the gate and selling refreshments.
