Modern communications technology
Our emergency communications programme means we can keep in touch both with each other and statutory partners during emergencies of all scales.

The Red Cross has six bespoke vehicles, each equipped with Tetra (Airwave) radio capability, in addition to UHF, VHF, satellite and Smartboard technology.

Telephone support line
In the event of a major emergency, the Red Cross can set up a support line within four hours – as happened following the London bombings in 2007.
