Support services for disabled people

West Scotland

Options for Independence works with a range of adults who are adjusting to an illness, health condition or disability. We provide immediate, skilled support and opportunities so people can live more independently.

We work with individuals, their families and professionals to determine what kind of support is needed. We can help with social, recreational, educational, emotional or physical activities.

Support plans are regularly reviewed to meet changing circumstances.

Mary’s story

Pensioner Mary Jenkins was facing a tough time alone at home – until our volunteer called round to help.

After a stroke landed him in hospital for ten months, Randolph wasn’t ready to face the world again – until we lent a hand.

Independent living: help people at home

From giving people confidence to doing a weekly shop, our volunteers help people to live independently in their own home.
