Hygiene support for China earthquake survivors

UK floods one year on: how we helped

A Red Cross sanitation and hygiene team has returned from China, but health risks to earthquake-affected communities remain and a second team has been deployed. Your kind donations to the UK Floods Appeal, which raised almost £5 million, enabled us to help thousands of people affected by the floods last summer to rebuild their lives.

Volunteers support evacuated residents

The British Red Cross is providing shelter for families who lost their homes and livelihoods after the cyclone in Bangladesh last year. Open Gardens offers a rare opportunity to explore the secrets of hidden and private gardens not usually open to the public. When two fatal stabbing incidents in three days led to police evacuations in London, volunteers supported families at nearby rest centres.
