Two months after the Haiti earthquake, aid agencies have distributed emergency shelter materials to more than half of the estimated 1.3 million people left homeless. A Zimbabwean mother who spent two heart-breaking years separated from her young daughters has finally been reunited with them – thanks to the Red Cross.

Chile: what we are doing to help

Science teachers at a school in England have enlisted the British Red Cross’ expertise to bring first aid education to their classrooms – and it’s been a runaway success.
