Red Cross helps Britons in Mumbai

Two Hollyoaks actors dropped by recently to help young Red Cross volunteers and schoolchildren celebrate Universal Children’s Day at a special conference. Our charity shops are halfway through '£1 million fortnight'. There are special events at shops all over the country – including Ricky Tomlinson behind the till on Merseyside. The British Red Cross has sent a team to Mumbai to provide practical help and emotional support to Britons affected by recent attacks, and also has a relief fund for UK victims of terrorism abroad.
