Review Activity (5 mins)

Preparation:
Piece of chocolate and card for each pupil.

Hand out a card to each pupil and a piece of chocolate. Ask pupils to eat the chocolate and write down on their card one word that describes that chocolate. Ask them to read out what they wrote.  Explain that we all have our own perspectives, even how chocolate tastes to us. Some pupils may copy each other. In this case state that our ideas can be influenced by others.

Ask the pupils to reflect on what they have learned from the session.

Ask them if they think there are other groups that are unfairly stereotyped. Explain that refugees and asylum seekers are stereotyped and discriminated against. In the next session they will learn more about this group.
