In April, the strongest earthquake to hit Nepal in 80 years left thousands dead and many more in need of help. Two weeks later, another earthquake shook a country already in mourning.
The Red Cross was one of the first aid organisations to help when disaster struck. Thousands of local volunteers gave survivors medical care, food, water and shelter. They set up health-protecting toilets and latrines too.
People in Nepal still need your help. Donate now.
The Nepal Earthquake Appeal will support communities currently affected and those potentially affected in the future by this crisis. In the unlikely event that we raise more money than can be reasonably and efficiently spent, any surplus funds will be used to help us prepare for and respond to other humanitarian disasters anywhere in the world.
