How much does the Red Cross receive for each inkjet cartridge?
For each inkjet cartridge recycled, we will receive £1. Just one inkjet cartridge could help us provide life-saving treatment to three cholera patients or buy a resuscitation face shield to safely deliver vital first aid.
How do I recycle my inkjet cartridges?
First off, login to our recycling website. If you haven't recycled for us before, you'll need to register first.
Then request a Freepost recycling envelope and use it to send us your used inkjet cartridges.
Collection boxes are also available if you will be collecting 50 items or more (this includes both mobile phones and inkjets). Just order a collection box and when it is full, arrange a free collection through our website or by calling us on 0844 412 2811. This is ideal for an office, university or school collection.
Why recycle inkjet cartridges?
By recycling your cartridge you can help us raise thousands of pounds and help the environment.
Over 45 million cartridges go into UK landfill sites each year*. It takes 1.5 pints of crude oil to make one inkjet cartridge and will take 1,000 years for the inkjet cartridge to decompose**. Help take the strain off our planet’s resources by recycling your inkjet cartridges.
