Trustees' report and accounts 2005

For the British Red Cross, 2005 was a truly remarkable year, in which we responded to an unprecedented series of disasters on a global scale. Faced with the devastation of the Asian earthquake and tsunami, widespread food shortages across Africa, hurricanes in America and the London bombings, our volunteers and staff rose to many major challenges.

These exceptional achievements were only made possible by the remarkable generosity of our supporters, who last year gave a record-breaking £116 million.
