Here are some examples of how your donation could help:

Pharmacists distributing oral rehydration salts in Gereida, Sudan

£2 a month for a year could buy twelve daily measures of water and oral rehydration salts, enough for 480 children.

School children drinking from tap in Guatemala
£2 a month for a year could provide enough purification tablets to give clean water, free from life-threatening diseases, to over 250 people a day.

More than 255 million people are affected by natural disasters globally each year. That’s one in 25 people worldwide.*

Where there is disaster – whether it is a war, famine, flood or earthquake - there are few humanitarian organisations that are able to respond as quickly as the Red Cross. As our volunteers and staff are recruited locally, we’re usually the first organisation at the scene.

Do something amazing today. So whatever happens tomorrow, you will know that we will be there for whoever needs help.

If you are at all worried that you might not be able to keep up the commitment, please be assured you can easily cancel your gift at any time. We are simply grateful to have your support for as long as you wish to give it.

If you have any queries about making a direct debit to the British Red Cross you may find the answer in our frequently asked questions section. Alternatively, email your query to regulargivingsupport@redcross.org.uk.
