Water diaries
| Every 20 seconds worldwide, a child dies as a result of poor sanitation. That's 1.5 million preventable deaths each year.
In Cambodia, contaminated drinking water is a major health risk. Over the past five years, the British Red Cross has improved water and sanitation for more than 60,000 people in the country, but there is still a huge amount of work to do. Almost half of the population do not have access to safe, clean water.
World Water Day water diaries

| For World Water Day (22 March 2008), the British Red Cross asked children in the UK and Cambodia to keep diaries of their water use, to help British children understand how precious clean water is.
