In 2007 we will continue to deliver programmes of activity within our established strategic framework. This will include:

  • Developing our emergency response capability
  • Completing 1,900 houses and providing livelihoods support to a further 3,400 families in Aceh Jaya in Indonesia, with additional livelihoods work in up to 30 villages and with displaced people in Sri Lanka and the completion of more than 200 houses in the Maldives
  • Growing first aid capacity across the UK – training 145,000 people in first aid and associated skills, including 2,340 people living with a disability through our inclusive first aid project
  • Developing plans for future programmes to reflect the outcome of our vulnerability research project (see page 12), and reviewing our strategy for support for health and care programmes in other National Societies.
