Helping vulnerable people

Our two-year research project to ensure we reach vulnerable people made good progress. We consulted with other organisations and launched four innovative pilot projects across the UK, including a self-help group for black African women living with HIV in Milton Keynes.

For many destitute refugees and asylum seekers, the Red Cross provided a lifeline of support in 2006. Our orientation service enabled thousands to access essential services and adapt to life in a new country. We also supported the Government’s UK resettlement programme, which helps some of the most vulnerable refugees in the world.
